For the Masters of the American West Fine Art Exhibition and Sale, she took her inspiration from Native American artisans in a series of still lifes depicting some of the treasures from the Southwest Museum of the American Indian.
Roski has created several series of paintings around materials she has collected on her travels. In her most recent exhibitions, she has chosen to incorporate her inspiration in an evocative fashion, mounting in each frame an object represented in the painting.
For this exhibition, for example, a pheasant feather from the headdress of the kachina doll was used for one particular piece. "I wanted to link the past with the present. The feather is a symbol of kinship with the artist and the spirit of the Native American People."
